Medal Necklace – 925 sterling silver and engravable medal
18k gold plating, 3 microns (gold version)
We chose 18k gold plating for its warm color and durability: a 3-micron layer of gold is applied to the piece by electroplating. This thickness, regulated under French law, is what sets gold plating apart from gold-flashed jewelry, whose layer is much thinner. 925 sterling silver (silver version)
925 sterling silver is the silver of fine jewelry: it contains 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with a little copper to give it the strength needed for everyday wear. It is a precious metal with a soft, natural glow that flatters every skin tone. Over time, silver can develop a slight patina: a simple silver polishing cloth will restore its full shine.
